This week it’s back to basics. On tap, or rather, from the bottle, are two beers of the Bock style. Bocks are a dark lager originally created as a drink by Roman Catholic monks for Lent. Bocks are higher in nutrients than the typical, lighter lager and provided sustenance for monks during the fast. In the news this week we talk about Minnesota’s upcoming Lucid Brewing, the losses posted by our biggest macrobrewers, and President Obama’s beer summit. Check out the show and listen for the upcoming beer events in Iowa and Minnesota. Thanks for listening everyone, cheers!
