Shawn and Mike began their work on The Beer Genome Project in the fall of 2008. They started out documenting their journey into craft beer with the podcast as a means for friends and family to follow along. This site became a source for additional content, extended reviews, videos, craft beer events, and updates from local breweries. They strive to create an educated-yet-casual-dialog about beer, where people can join an online, organic movement to share the knowledge they’ve gained over the years with other beer aficionados, or people who just want to know a little more about beer.
The site is still growing, with occasional collaborators and guest hosts. There is a podcast glossary available for frequently used terms for new listeners of our shows. Want to get involved? Check out our contact page for more information.
We have been developing a list of Brewery Tours in the Minnesota and Wisconsin regions for those of you who might be traveling in the area and would like to learn more about our local beer.
